FAQ
Do you take insurance?

Yes.  We accept the majority of insurance companies.  Please call the office to find out if we are providers with your insurance plan.  When you call if you have your insurance card in hand it will expedite the process.  Many insurance companies have mental health benefits that are provided by another company.  Please refer to the back of your card for any additional phone numbers for mental health.

What if I don't have insurance?

The office staff will be happy to inform you of our fees when you call.

Do you take credit cards?

Yes.  We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover & American Express.  We also accept debit cards.

What will my first appointment be like?

We ask that you come at least 15 minutes early for your appointment in order to complete registration forms.  If you will be using health insurance please bring your card.

After completing your registration paperwork the clinician will meet you for an initial assessment.  The initial assessment is an opportunity for the client and the clinician to identify problem areas to be addressed.

Types of questions you may be asked during the assessment:

  • Current psychosocial stressors
  • Present physical and emotional symptoms that are causing concern
  • Social history
  • Family history of emotional problems
  • Past prescriptions and any treatments you have received
  • Educational level
  • Occupational history
  • Legal history
  • Drug and alcohol use

At the end of the session the clinician will recommend treatment strategies that may be used to alleviate the identified problems.  These strategies may include therapy:  individual, family, couple or group, medication or a referral to an outside agency or clinician.
