Cynthia McAlister, APRN
Cynthia is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Board certified in adult psychiatric nursing. She is a University of Kentucky graduate with a Masters of Science in Nursing. She has been practicing psychiatric nursing for more than twenty years in inpatient and outpatient settings in Central Kentucky. Cynthia also taught nursing at Eastern Kentucky University for ten years. Cynthia is a member of the American Nurses Association and is certified in Cognitive Therapy.

Jaliah Day-Klaiber, LCSW
Jaliah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Her focus is treating adolescents and adults with substance abuse issues. Jaliah is also is experienced in treating depression, anxiety and self esteem issues. She is a University of Kentucky graduate with a Masters in Social Work, and is a member of the National Association of Social Work.

Martha Pearson, APRN
Martha is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Board certified in child and adolescent psychiatric and mental health nursing. She is a Boston University graduate with a Masters of Science in Nursing. She has been practicing psychiatric nursing for more than twenty years. Martha also taught at the University of Kentucky and has practiced inpatient and outpatient psychiatric nursing. She specializes in at-risk adolescents, bipolar disorder, anxiety and depression.
John Vinson APRN
John is an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner. He has a Masters degree from the University of Kentucky where he was also a research assistant. John is board certified in Adult Mental Health nursing. He has practiced Nursing for more than twenty years with over a decade of experience in a variety of inpatient and outpatient mental health settings. He was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau, International Nursing Honor Society in 1991. John specializes in the treatment of adults with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, as well as depression and bipolar disorder.
Connie Schenck, LCSW
Connie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Connie specializes in children's needs including children with sexual behavioral problems. She is a University of Kentucky graduate with a Masters in Social Work. Connie is currently working toward her registration as a play therapist. She uses expressive therapy techniques to address behavioral issues, grief, abuse and family issues. She is a member of the National Association of Social Work and the Kentucky Association for Play Therapy.
Bette Robinson, LCSW
Bette is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Her focus is working with adolescents and young adults in the treatment of developmental transitions. She is a graduate of the Kent School of Social Work at the University of Louisville with a Masters in Social Work. She is a member of the National Association of Social Work.
Emilie Carter, LCSW
Emilie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Her focus is working with adults in individual therapy. Emilie’s primary mode of treatment utilizes cognitive therapy techniques; she is also experienced in the treatment of bipolar recognition and symptom management. She is a Spalding University graduate with a Masters in Social Work. She is a member of Alpha Delta Mu National Social Work Honor Society.
Carol Lunney, LMFT, PhD
Carol is a Licensed Marital Family Therapist. Her focus is working with adults and families in the treatment of relational problems, depression and anxiety. She also has extensive experience in working with individuals with post traumatic stress disorder. Carol is a Vanderbilt University graduate with a Ph.D. in Human Development. She also has a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Kentucky. She is a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
Paul Acra, LCSW
Paul is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. His primary focus is working with adults and couples in the treatment of anxiety, depression, chronic pain, men's issues and relationship problems. Paul also has extensive experience working with adolescents. He is a University of Kentucky graduate with a Masters in Social Work.
Katie Nikzad Terhune, Ph.D., LCSW
Katie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Her primary focus is working with adults and couples in the treatment of depression, anxiety, relational problems, grief, trauma, and issues related to aging and caregiving. Katie is a graduate of the University of Kentucky, where she received her Ph.D. in Gerontology. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, and the Gerontological Society of America.
Dr. Getulio V. Tovar, MD.
Dr. Tovar is a psychiatrist Board certified in Adult Psychiatry. Dr. Tovar received his medical degree from the University of Parana, Brazil and received his psychiatric training at the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He has been in private practice for 28 years and has experience in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatry. He is currently the Chief of Mental Health at the Lexington VA Medical Center. He is member of the American Psychiatric Association and is certified in Cognitive Therapy.
Mindy Isaacs, PhD
Mindy is a Licensed Psychologist with a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Kentucky. She has worked in both inpatient and outpatient mental health settings specializing in psychodiagnostic assessment and psychotherapy for AD/HD and learning disabilities, academic problems, mood disorders, personality problems, eating disorders, and posttraumatic stress. Additionally, Mindy is an instructor at the University of Kentucky and has extensive experience supervising masters and doctoral level psychology students. Mindy is a member of both the American and Kentucky Psychological Associations.
